Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream (No Churn)

A simpler way to make a creamy classic vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 can (14-ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 each vanilla bean pods
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Hand or Stand Mixer
  • Bread Pan

Step by Step Directions
 

  1. Add heavy cream to a large bowl and mix on high until fluffy (3-5 mins)
  2. Mix in the the condensed milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Slice the vanilla beans and scrape out the beans. Add to the mixture and stir.
  4. Pour into the prepared bread pan. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for 6-8 hours.

Notes

Vanilla Bean paste can be substituted for vanilla bean pods or you can increase the vanilla extract for a total of 3 tablespoons.  The vanilla bean pods are my first choice followed by the vanilla paste and last extra extract.
